Catalina´s Dolls

I have just read "Arpégio" the name of the Lanvin´s perfume was created by Mme Jeanne for the 30 years of her daughter cherished Marguerite (great impassioned music). Albert Armand Rateau draw the bottle, celebrated it black ball decorated with a drawing allotted to the artist Paul Iribe immortalising the love of a mother for her daughter.

I didn´t know maison Lanvin was pioneer in fashion for kids, Jeanne designed amazing clothes for her beloved daughter, Marguerite.

Anyway, last year, 2009, Lanvin celebrated its 120Th anniversary, and Lanvin launched a serie of dolls as a limited edition, and of course, Catalina has two of them, one of them is just a bride, the another one is according to her, Mom and Catalina, now I know they are Jeanne and Marguerite...

Nancy Blue Jeans

Nancy was the most beloved doll in Spain, she was born in 1970 but it´s looked upon today as a old fashion doll. All little girls prefer Barbie to Nancy, Barbie is slimmer, has got a lot of accessories as horses, friends, ferraris, camping car, and so on whereas Nancy has got a little sister, a boyfriend calle Lucas, a wardrobe, a bed and that´s about it.

The Three Kings have brought Catalina the Nancy blue Jeans, she wasn´t very exicted with her new doll, a doll without horses, without camping cars... So, we told her Nancy has a little sister, Lesly, and my sister still keeps her old Lesly, so Catalina plays wiht her new Nancy and the old Lesly, she is so happy because of the little sister. Lovely accessory a little sister!!!

Christian Louboutin and Barbie...wow!!!

"¡¡¡Mamá, pide un paquete!!!" (Mom, order a package!!!), Catalina said to her mother when she saw this batgirl-barbie. I know "Mom, order a package" doesn´t have any sense, but sometimes my sister orders some toys or dolls, so when the courier delivers the ordered toys are "packages".

Well, it could be not very funny, however, when my sister told me that I found it hilarious.

She was born in 1959 in New York and since then she has always been connected with the fashion world. Luxurious brand such as Chanel, Armani, Burberry, Givenchy or Versace have designed clothes for her. And much more, during New York Fashion Week is approaching, an special Fashion Show will be for her, and Barbie will include in her wardrobe more designer clothes and even Christian Louboutin shoes.


You deserve it, Barbie.

And, of course, Catalina is waiting until New York Fashion Week. She loves Barbie. Barbie is fab, Catalina too. Barbie enjoys riding horses, Catalina too. Barbie loves the pink colour, Catalina too. But Barbie has got her own horse and Catalina has got Barbie´s horse.
