A bout de souffle: HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY

Today is the 50th aniversary of this great film. Catalina loves Patricia (Jean Seberg), she says Patricia is very chic, Patricia and Joanna (when Catalina mentiones Audrey she calls her "Joanna I love you" the reason is because that is what she can hear while she´s watching Two for the road) are her fav characters

Leo Leonni

I´ve just arrived from Spain, it has been a fantastic time, playing with Catalina all the time and reading the newest books I´ve got to Catalina. One of them is Nadarín by Leo Leonni, Catalina loves the little red fishes and, of course, the little black fish called Nadarín.
After reading Nadarín we went to browse youtube and we found Nadarín in Japanese, really funny, we don´t understand anything at all, we assume it says the same tha in Spanish.

Catalina, behave yourself

Garance Dore Illustration

Catalina really loves Mom´s clothes, when you don´t know where she is it´s easy to find her playing with a lot of handbags, clutch bags, sandals, wedges, slingbacks, ballerinas, hoops, cuffs, necklaces, bangles and all that kind of stuff. She always says to her Mom, "Mamá, when I am 7, will you gift wrap this clutch for me?. And she´s so hilarius in heels...
My sister sometimes orders some pieces very difficult to find in Spain, and when the order gets home, Catalina is always around the package, trying to open to put it on.
When I see Catalina in Mom´s clothes I always think in "Life Without Zoe", one of the three shorts of that make up the film "New York Stories", directed by Francis Ford Coppola and written by Coppola and his daughter, Sofia, when the girl is dressed in Chanel or grown-up clothes.

Images come from "Life with Zoe" by F. Coppola (all fab little girls in Chanel)

Catalina is in a Fendi evening top, Rene Caovilla slingbacks

and Jimmy Choo clutch (all belong to my sister)

Donde viven los monstruos: Three months

I had never heard about "Where the Wild Things are" before, but checking some of my favourite blogs I already know it´s a terrific children´s picture book by American writer Maurie Sendak and I also know a live-action movie version is scheduled to be released on October 16. All of those days I have been watching the trailler everywhere, English trailler and I am uploading the Spanish version, "Donde viven los monstruos".

In Spain the book is not so popular although its movie version directed by Spike Jonze (I love him, I can´t understand why Sophia Coppola and he could split up) is realising on 18th december, two months later than in America. It is set to be a great success here too.

Love is in the air

This week Catalina has got a date with Martin. Martin is her classmate, a so cute little boy, really blonde and so sweet!!!, he´s amazing. This week Martin´s mom doesn´t have to work, so they are going to spend one summer week together.

Martin is so such lovely little boy, when Catalina was for almost five weeks in Dublin, he missed Catalina a lot and when Catalina went back to Spain, he said to her "Catalina, why you didn´t tell me you were in Ireland? if I had known you were in Dublin, I would have gone with you" Isn´t he cute?. He´s a pet.

I love Le Ballon Rouge, and the boy who is playing the leading role in the movies is gorgeous, Martin and he are quite alike.

------------------------

First Love

Since the first Louis Vuitton short film "Superflat Monogram", Aya returns to the Omotesando Louis Vuitton store in Tokyo, Japan. A familiar character, the mini panda swallows her up and reintroduces her again to the world of Louis Vuitton superflat, but this time, to the past where she meets with the young Gaston Louis Vuitton in Paris, France. As she returns, did she imagine the whole thing or was it a fantastic voyage to another dimension?

This is a short film celebrating six years of collaboration between Murakami and Vuitton.

Coraline

Translated:

"Tu no eres mi madre. Mi madre no tiene bo..bo... botones"

"¿Botones? ¿Te gustan? Soy tu otra madre"

"No tengo miedo"

Aya in Louis Vuitton Wonderland

While waiting to meet her friends outside of a Louis Vuitton store, Aya's movil is eaten by the LV Panda, who then promptly swallows Aya - but the inside of his stomach is gateway to a psychadelic wonderland. Based on characters created by famed superflat artist Takashi Murakami.
And Catalina has got a Takashi Murakami´s badge that she loves so much!!!.

Thank you so much, youtube.

Muchas gracias, youtube
